Krampus Kooler

Holiday fan favorite with the locals who have had the luck to have had a cup. Like all my other concoctions, this is just a guideline to the drink. Add or subtract what makes it a perfect cup of Yule for you!

Ingredients/What you’ll need:

  • 2 tea spoons of Sweet Almond/Marzipan herbal loose tea and a way to brew it

  • 10 oz of boiling water

  • 6 oz of apple cider (I use sugar plum apple cider - I found it at Adam’s Market)

  • Apple slices, cranberries, and/or cinnamon stick for garnish

  • 16 oz drinking vessel

Assembling your Kooler:

  1. Bring your water to boils and steep your tea for 10 mins. Now you can make this ahead and cool it, add a few ice cubes, or just keep it hot and your Kooler will be…warm which is still really tasty! You could make this all hot if you want.

  2. Pour your brewed tea in your 16 oz drinking vessel and top it off with your apple cider.

  3. Garnish with apple, cranberry, and/or cinnamon stick

  4. Sip and enjoy the Holiday season! Oh, and of course take a picture and tag me in it.

ATTENTION ADULTS This is a child friendly drink - caffeine free and sweet. However, if you’d like to spike the Kooler you can hard cider, mead, cherry brandy, fireball, etc. Again, this is to your taste. The key is to make the tea concentrated so whatever you add to it, the flavors will still shine through.

This is me several years ago dressed as Krampus.
